The team that runs your building's energy
SensorSuite is a partnership of building-systems specialists and utility people, working the same problem from both ends: the equipment in the mechanical room, and the grid it draws from. We build the hardware, write the software, and staff the operations team that watches it.
We started with the buildings nobody was measuring
SensorSuite began with a narrow problem: apartment buildings were wasting enormous amounts of energy, and nobody could say where or how much. The equipment was old, the data did not exist, and the vendors who could have fixed it only quoted buildings large enough to carry a six-figure BMS.
Solving that for multi-unit residential stock turned into something broader. Measuring a building well enough to cut its consumption produces the same data that proves the saving, reports the carbon, and makes the load worth something to a utility. Efficiency was the way in; what the platform does now is closer to energy productivity — getting more out of every unit the building buys.
We own both halves on purpose
Most of this industry does software or hardware, not both. We do both deliberately: the sensors and controls in the building are ours, and so is the platform they report to. That is what lets us stand behind the number on the report — there is no vendor in the middle to blame when a reading drifts, and quality control runs end to end rather than stopping at an API.
It is also why the buildings we serve do not need a BMS first. Where controls already exist we integrate with them; where they do not, we install what is missing. Either way the building ends up measured, controlled and watched, without a capital project to get there.
Where that leaves us
The people behind it
Building-systems specialists and utility people in the same company — because the whole is worth more than the sum of its parts.

Sonia Ferreira
VP, Operations & Customer Success
Seven years at SensorSuite, most of them spent making sure what the platform promises is what the customer actually gets. Sonia builds the processes, policies and partnerships that turn a signed contract into a building running better — and she leads on the view that operations is a people business before it is a technical one.

Francis Caporuscio
CTO — IoT Infrastructure & Cloud
Francis owns the technology the rest of it stands on: the independent wireless mesh that reaches every suite without touching tenant Wi-Fi, and the cloud platform those devices report into. His remit runs from the radio in the riser to the systems that keep a building under control when its internet connection is not.

Derek Li
Product Manager
Software, hardware and mechanical systems have to agree before a building does. Derek works across all three, translating between the teams that build them and staying hands-on where his engineering background helps. He designs for the long run, favouring what stays maintainable and scalable years after the install.

Valentine Karpenko
Controls Manager
Valentine holds an advanced diploma in Building Automation Systems and has spent more than five years monitoring and optimizing BAS installations across a broad client base. She runs building operations against two targets usually treated as opposites: measurable energy savings, and tenants who stay comfortable.
